My worst cleaning mess was when my son was 2 and my daughter was 1. I walk in the kitchen and my son had gotten a dirty diaper and they had both rubbed the contents all over my kitchen. It was absolutely disgusting. I remember calling my husband in tears. I had to put the babies in the tub and scrub them then scrub the kitchen. No fun that day
    Thank you

We had a 1/2 inch thick round glass table top that we were cleaning and I set it on the rug resting against our ottoman chair (it weighed about 40 lbs) and went outside to do a lawn chore. The kids were watching TV in the room at the time when out ran all 3 of them shouting and screaming in Unison (We didn't touch it, We didn't touch it..). To my dismay, I found the glass table top in shards (one was sticking through the new Pottery Barn leather chair). Luckily, none of the kids nor the family dog were injured - thank goodness!

When my son moved into an apartment at college he used the dishwasher for the first time. He didn't know the difference between dish soap and automatic dishwashing detergent. He called in a panic because there was about 6" of suds covering his kitchen floor. He had just moved in and had only two bath towels. I had to drive 2 hours with a trunkload of rags and towels to help him clean up.

I had some tenants that I was ready to evict, but actually didn't have to since the police arrested them before I had a chance to do it. But when I went in to clean the apartment, it was unreal. It wasn't that it was so dirty (although it was fairly dirty), but the floors were just covered in junk, interspersed with clothing, some of which was good. I ended up with 3 loads that went to the dump, and about 20 bags of clothing to Goodwill (I did wash the clothes first!) I was starting to work on the last bedroom when I was contacted by a man who wanted to rent the place and was willing to finish the cleaning in lieu of deposit, which I was more than happy to do!

My worst cleaning story? Oh my! On my 50th birthday, I was recuperating from surgery on my right lbow, on pain pills, and as a lot of you know, I was constipated from being put to sleep. I got up to go to the bathroom and I noticed something oozing out of my shower door. I called my husband to come and look, and our sewage system had backed up and was coming through the shower drain. Needless to say, I was "Knee Deep in S--T on my 50th! Would love to win this.

My worst cleaning challenge was not a thing that got dirty, like a wall or a floor-it was my kids! They had gotten hold of the Vaseline, so they smeared themselves from head to toe with Vaseline, and then sprinkled talcum powder all over themselves! I think they're still kinda greasy, and they're in their 30's!
